Lake Marion Elementary
Please join us on Friday, October 2nd, 2026, for our annual Walk-A-Thon (WAT) fundraiser! Our WAT promotes healthy habits and teaches children about goal setting, teamwork and the value of contributing to a cause. As a school, we hope that this event creates lasting memories and a sense of accomplishment. In addition, our 2026/2027 corporate sponsorships have strengthened our local ties and has fostered a sense of shared purpose.
Our goal this year is to raise $40,000 (about $60 per student). Your participation helps the PTO fund amazing programs at LME including:
School grants for special improvement projects
Family Fun Evenings
School Resource Dog Care
Scholastic Book Fairs
Staff Appreciation
All School Assemblies
I Love to Read Program
Student Scholarships
Activity Day
AND MORE!
The day starts with an all-school walk around Lakeville North High School track and then continues with each grade level walking the track for roughly 30 minutes throughout the day.
Families are invited and encouraged to join their students during their grade-level walk time (not pets). The WAT shirts will be handed out by your child’s teacher on Friday, October 2. Shirts WILL NOT go home before this date to ensure all kids have their shirt for the walk-a-thon. Be prepared for colder weather.
