Race for Education 2026

October 8th, 2026

Montessori Academy of Chambersburg

This year, our students will be fundraising to support Montessori Academy’s ongoing development of our outdoor campus!

Our Student Council would like to arrange for some new equipment and upgrades for our younger students, including the renovation of the sandbox areas. The Upper School students would like to expand the wooden ropes climbing course and potentially add an embankment slide on the north playground's hill. Our Student Council would also like to fund raise for improvements to Foster's Garden, a memorial garden of native plants, dedicated to a Montessori Academy student who passed away in 2011 at age 6.

The multi-phase upgrade of our outdoor spaces and playgrounds is part of a long term plan that began in 2020. Last fall, our students focused their Race for Education fundraiser on the full replacement of our sound system in the Big Room! This year, we shift our focus back towards our long term goals for nature based play and learning.

We have already accomplished so much together! Thank you for supporting our students in reaching their fundraising goals!
